Switch between business workspaces
Each business workspace keeps its own products, checkout links, Sales, Finance, webhooks, and team access separate.
Switching is simple, but editing in the wrong workspace is a common source of missing products, empty reports, failed withdrawals, and support confusion.
When to switch workspaces
| Situation | Why switching matters |
|---|---|
| You manage more than one brand or legal entity | Each brand has its own catalog and balances |
| You support multiple clients from one login | Actions must stay scoped to the client workspace |
| A product looks missing | It may exist in another business |
| Campaigns or Financial Overview looks empty | Filters may be correct but the workspace is wrong |
| Finance asks about balance | Available funds belong to one business at a time |
| Collaborator has selected-product access | Product visibility depends on workspace and role |
What stays isolated per workspace
| Area | What can get mixed up if you forget to switch |
|---|---|
| Products | New offer created under the wrong brand |
| Pricing and checkout | Plans attached to the wrong catalog |
| Sales and subscriptions | Buyer support in the wrong Sales context |
| Finance | Withdrawal requested from the wrong balance |
| Integrations | Webhook or Notazz config changed for the wrong entity |
| Team | Invites sent to the wrong business |

- Re-check the workspace name before high-impact actions such as refunds, pricing changes, or withdrawals.

- Switch back when moving to another business so the next task does not inherit the wrong context.

What to verify after switching
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Header or workspace label matches target business | Fast visual confirmation |
| Expected product appears in Products | Confirms catalog scope |
| Sales search returns the buyer you expect | Support tickets often fail here |
| Finance balance looks plausible for that entity | Prevents payout confusion |
| Integrations list matches the business you intended | Especially webhooks and invoice tools |
| Team permissions make sense for this workspace | See finance permissions |
Best practices
- Say the business name out loud or in support notes before refunds, pricing edits, or withdrawals.
- Compare reports only within the same workspace and date range.
- Document which brands map to which workspace for launch and support teams.
- Train collaborators who manage multiple businesses to switch before every session.
- If data looks missing, switch workspace before assuming a bug. See missing data troubleshooting.
Common mistakes
- Creating a product in the default workspace instead of the client workspace.
- Searching Sales in business A for a buyer who purchased in business B.
- Requesting a withdrawal from the wrong available balance.
- Editing a funnel or checkout link under the wrong brand.
- Assuming selected-product access means the user can see every product in every workspace.
FAQ
Why can I not see a product after switching?
The product may belong to another business workspace, may be inactive, or your user may have selected-product access only. Review inactive products and link impact and team roles.
Do checkout links change when I switch businesses?
Each workspace has its own links and catalogs. Always confirm the active business before copying or editing a checkout link.
Can finance users access every workspace?
Access depends on invitation and role. A user may have finance rights in one business but not another. See finance permissions.
Where should I switch before investigating attribution issues?
Start with the correct workspace, then use campaign attribution gaps and Sales together.
