Complete a card payment flow

This how-to guide walks through the full card path — seller setup, buyer checkout, approved or declined result, and post-payment review. Read PIX and card at checkout first for concepts.

Card usually returns approved or declined faster than PIX. Declines are checkout failures, not chargebacks. See card payment declines.

Common mistakes

  • Treating a checkout decline as a chargeback.
  • Enabling installments without testing buyer-facing totals.
  • Granting delivery before the sale shows Approved in Sales.
  • Testing only from the seller dashboard, not the buyer card form.
