Complete a PIX payment flow
This guide walks through the entire PIX path — seller setup, buyer checkout, pending state, approved sale, and post-payment review. Use it as the reference format for step-by-step help with screenshots.
PIX is different from card: generating a QR code is not the same as paying. Support and automations should treat approved sales as the trigger for delivery and webhooks.
For payment method settings, see configure PIX and card payment methods. For failures, see troubleshoot PIX payment failures.

PIX status cheat sheet
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| PIX QR generated | Buyer started PIX but may not have paid | Do not grant access |
| Pending | Payment submitted, still processing | Wait and recheck Sales |
| Approved | Payment confirmed | Grant delivery; proceed with support |
| No sale found | Buyer may have used wrong link or email | Search wider date range; see PIX troubleshooting |
What to verify before launch
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| PIX enabled on the live offer | Buyers cannot pay with PIX otherwise |
| Checkout is published | Draft checkouts break live links |
| Support knows pending ≠ paid | Prevents early access mistakes |
| Delivery waits for approved status | Core PIX workflow rule |
| Mobile checkout tested | Most PIX payments happen on phones |
| Webhooks use approved events | Automations should not fire on PIX generated alone |
Common mistakes
- Granting access when the buyer only generated the QR code.
- Testing from the seller dashboard without completing the buyer banking-app step.
- Promising instant access on checkout when PIX can be pending for a short time.
- Searching Sales in the wrong business workspace.
- Treating Dashboard activity as proof without opening the sale detail.
